I have had granny chains and I keep breaking them.

Believe it or not, I had a doctor tell me that until I really needed glasses, the magnifiers you can buy are perfectly fine if all you need them for is reading. He said that its going to be the SAME thing but more expensive to buy them at a vision center.

But I really think I need bifocals now so maybe sometime soon, I will suck it up and go to the vision center.

And you're flipping the "verbal bird" to whom, young lady???

Another one along the lines of "whatever" for me is when you make a statement and someone replies, "ya' think?" To me, it's like replying "duh" or "that's so obvious, why did you even say it". It just sounds rude. I hear it ALOT and even heard a radio personality say it yesterday to his co-host.

I'm guilty of the "ya think?" one, but usually when I AM being a smart a** or intentionally rude. (which is not often because I am a VERY well behaved woman. and I know that many of you are thinking in response to THAT remark: "ya think?" )

I say "whatev" in response to my friends sometimes, but it isn't meant as a nasty comeback. The conversation would go something like this:

Friend: Do you want to see a movie tonight or just get some takeout and watch some TV?
Me: Eh, whatev. I don't care.

I'm not giving anyone the bird!
    Wake up and be awesome

I guess 11 years ago I used slang when talking to my friends that my mother would have found offensive so I'll be patient with whatevs for now..lol
