I don't want to give them up, but I have to unless I want to plump up.

Steak, salad and water are basically what I live on. Though, I eat lots of corn and popcorn (not supposed to) and drink diet coke (not supposed to) and have cheese (not supposed to), but I can't give everything up. It's bad enough I have to eat "pasta casserole without the pasta" or whatever.

I've done it before though. I can do it again.

    This year I will
Loss the 20 pounds I regained in the last few months from stress eating.
stop stress eating and just deal with the stress.
start walking and doing yoga again
    restart scrapbooking

I always try to be good and make some kind of resolutions, but they never last very long. I finally decided the goals in my resolutions were too lofty (). Anyhoo, Joey and I have made a sort of "joint resolution" to become as debt-free as possible this year in anticipation of the pitter-patter of little feet w/in the next year or so.

I decided last night that I'm resolving to spend more time with friends. Working from home, and living in the middle of nowhere, means we don't get out all that often to see friends. Time to change that.

And fluff, it's pretty hard to get a spotter. I am currently lifting more than my wife weighs, so she can't spot me. And I lift at home, throughout the day...

But I'll try to figure something out. If you ever see a post that says zxm, nbbcbnmmnxcv you'll know I'm trapped under the weight bench, and can only reach the bottom row of keys

At least if your wife is in the house she can run to get someone or call someone to help free you from your weights, JOhn. When she was out of town we (well, me anyway) were worried that you'd be trapped for days, with only the gravy you'd spilled on your pants to sustain you.

    i resolve to have a better 2003 than 2002.
honestly, my only resolution is to stick to my budget... i have tons of debt to pay off, and though i've not accumulated any more over the last two years, i'm ready to get it paid off and over with.

i could NEVER give up carbs... never never. or candy. and i don't want to. i'm pretty happy with my body, though like most others, i could definitely benefit from less carbs and sugar. but i LOVE them... without them, i'd become a gollum like creature... calling out for "my precious" bread and sugar.

I guess I should specify that I'm not seriously overweight or anything, just a couple pounds rounder than I'd like to be. I'm 5' tall, and 130ish right now, usually I like to be around 100-110. But as I'm enjoying a hedgehog truffle right now, that might be harder to do than I thought.

I'm only 5-11 & 165 but I feel huge. People make fun of me when I say I need to drop 10 pounds this year. So instead I'll just resolve to eat healthier foods & do more cardio & weights. If any weight comes off, that'll just be an added bonus.

Sher, I hear ya. "Me loves the candy...but it makeses me fat...but it tasteses so goood...it hates us it does...we must haves it..."

    Exactly Jodaar.

I had to decide that brown rice was OK for me to eat because I was going crazy with all the restrictions.
