Muskegon is where all of my Pop's family lived and grew up!! All this Michigan talk is making me miss him all the more (he passed away) but I't motivating me to seriously consider traveling to Michigan to look up the family again!! I bet they would like for me to get in-touch.

When I was a kid, we drove a camper from California to Michigan many summers. We always went to see the
    Grand Haven Water Fountain

I didn't know either, Mdrio, 'til I looked it up. It always bugged me though, how in the movie he is supposedly from Florida, yet he mentions "Doo-val" (Duval) County (val like Hal), no one says it like that! Natives pronounce it "Du-vall". :rolleyes

Awww Miss F you weren't blind at all!! Last summer they moved the Nickel to the shores of Lake Ramsay to refurbish it and also to work on the mine (they added Dynamic Earth). You could have seen the Nickel and Science North all at the same time.
Anyone in town should have been able to tell you that.. I hope some moron didn't give you bad directions

Don't forget cute little red cable cars. And Mitchell's ice cream.

    AR Boy,
How long is the bridge there? According to the Guinness Book of World Records the longest bridge is right outside of New Orleans. It's the Causeway Bridge.

You know what the amazing thing is.... if you go to google and type in World's Longest Bridge.. you'll get 5 or 6 different answers. Most of them depend upon the classification: world's longest suspension bridge, world's longest oversea bridge, world's longest overwater highway bridge (what's the difference with this one??), etc.

    What a pain!

Noreen, very brave of you to admit to that here. I'm so sorry. Has it affected property values yet?
