High School was traumatizing! I was so thankful the day I graduated to have that chapter in my life over with. I was very shy, but became a go-getter to try to compensate. I was in band, cheerleading, drama, yearbook staff, junior & senior class officer, and National Honor Society.

    High school?

Good God! That was a million years ago!

Let's see . . . Fairly good brains, very much a bookworm. Pretty quiet.

The fact that every damn child in my family attended the school --- and the members of the Ancient Age Mafia still teaching in the school taught every last one of 'em and knew me before I even GOT there, to boot --- most likely had something to do with that!

And BOY was I glad to leave! Never have been to a class reunion, and am proud to say that I NEVER will go to one.

I wasn't a jock, per-say, but I was quite involved in sports. as well as the arts. I was a mix, of the artsy guy/jock -- but the shy guy, wasn't very good with the whole "socializing" bit, still am not

I was so glad to get out of that hell-hole. I hated high school, and I rarely showed up. First-name basis with the principal, had to beg to graduate. I had the grades, but not the attendance. Dated the most popular guy in the school for junior and senior years - much to everyone's amazement. I've never been to a single reunion. The people I was friends with then, I am friends with now, and have no inkling to return and see the creeps I avoided so many years ago.

I guess I'm the same snob I was then. Some things never change.

We had a thread with a quiz in it similar to this a while back...hate to say it but I was exactly how the quiz said I was..except I'm not blonde...shocking I know.

Here's a link to that thread.

Thanks, applesauce! They are two of my favorite quotes, and they kind of suit my mood right now.
