Michael Jackson - biggest loser of 2002

    From IMdb

Pop superstar Michael Jackson's troubled year has concluded on an even more sour note - he's been branded 2002's biggest loser. The Thriller singer has beat the likes of George Michael, Robert Blake and 'N Sync star Lance Bass to the top spot in a chart put together by American magazine People. Jackson, whose most recent controversy stemmed from him holding his baby son Prince Michael II over the balcony of a German hotel last month, has also come under attack for his branding Sony boss Tommy Mottola a racist, taking his two oldest children to the zoo wearing veils and his apparently-disintegrating nose. The full top 10 is as follows: 1. Michael Jackson; 2. George Michael; 3. Trent Lott; 4. Lance Bass; 5. Liza Minnelli & David Gest; 6. Princess Anne; 7. Janet Reno; 8. Phil Donahue; 9. Rob Lowe; 10. Robert Blake

I'm not sure I would include Rob Lowe on that list, and definitely not ranked above Robert Blake, but eh...

    That surprised me too.
I guess his inclusion is a result of asking for more money for West Wing.
I don't think it was an outlandish request, particularly when you consider what each of the "Friends" is paid.

I think Michael Jackson stood a good chance of winning it even before the baby dangling.

I was reading something about Cher in Time Magazine the other day. She said "I grew up with Michael, and we've been friends a long time, but you dangle a baby over a railing, and that's it for me."

I would have moved Liza and her creepy husband up to second place.

I have no idea what Princess Anne has done lately?

But MJ does top the list.

I didn't really understand the inclusion of Princess Anne either.

I saw Cher say that on the tv John.
I think it was on ET, it was one of the entertainment shows anyway.
She made the comment backstage at the Billboard awards.

I'm not sure a few of them need to be there... personally I'd move Lott to tie with Micheal, or at least second.

MJ is superfreak, but not in a good way like, um, Rick James or Randy Moss, oh, they both have their legal woes, so I guess superfreak is just bad all around. I agree Cali, I'm surprised that Lott didn't rank higher, committing political suicide right before the holidays and all.
