My day: Fine. Until: I accidentally locked myself out of my office (there's no one else in there). So I had to go get a key from the guards at the door. I rode the elevator, which has this little gap between the floor of the elevator and the floor it stops on. Just wide enough, as it turns out, for a high heel. Mine got absolutely wedged in there. Visions of myself being crushed by the doors or my leg being sucked down in that gap flashed through my mind as I held the doors open and pried my heel out.

Just got home from a not so long night. Played some pool, I sucked at first then got better and won all my games. We had some fun with the cops and Citizens Patrol who were sitting near us at Tim Hortons. Then we left and were going to go somewhere but it was pooring rain. One of my friends decided to go home, so I called another friend but he was at a movie so I had to end my night. Usually never home before midnight :phhht

    Hmm, let's see:
I usually work on Saturdays, but I wasn't scheduled to work and my dad's away so I have the whole weekend free. Today I took a walk around a nearby lake, burning the tops of my shoulders in the process. I know, I know... sunscreen. Anyway I came home and stayed in for the rest of the day. I watched the Giants win their eight straight game , talked to my sister on the phone, ate some tacos and made a banana cream pie, not in that order.

    (end ramble)

I woke up today and I noticed that I was "green." The grass is definitely greener on the other side. Hope you're all having a great Memorial weekend!

My dog apparently doesn't care that it's the Sunday of a three day weekend so I found myself walking her at 6:45 am. Now she's happily curled up and asleep. I'm considering a nap before the M's game.

well I had to work last night and I usually have sunday/monday off.....WRONG!!!!! i got to go to the radio station today and learn how to do a giants broadcast feed to the city here and then go to another station and learn how to do a remote broadcast from some store. work noon till 5pm and then tomoorow i have to go in because the casino i work for just took our holiday pay away, you don't get paid holiday pay unless you work that day. so instead of 8 hours pay i'll soak them for 16 hours pay as it will be an overtime day by the end of the week. rat bastards!

I remember my first day green too, Womynlee. It's pretty special.

Had a perfect, perfect day yesterday at the beach, climbing dunes, playing with my kid, watching the sunset hand in hand with hubby. Today we're all lazing around, just enjoying the fact tommorow's a holiday.

Does anyone have a problem with snoring? I snore really loud and those breathing strips aren't working. I'm considering surgery as the last resort. I'm tired of sleeping "in the other room."

Happy Memorial Day! I finally got my long (very needed) sleep. I'm happy today is a holiday and I can spend the rest of it lounging around. I also look forward to the Lakers closing the series tonight. Before that, I'm planning to visit the Santa Monica beach to view the 800+ crosses that represent each fallen soldier since the Iraq War.
Hope you all have a great day!
