Has the phrase "Jumped the shark" jumped the shark?

God, I'm so sick of everyone saying every little tiny event has caused everything to "jump the shark." Damn you, Fonzie, for coining that phrase!

Anyway, my little rant about phrases that peeve you off with their over-use, I guess.

Well, it's not so bad anymore, but that, "Whazzzzzzup?" phrase drove me freaking bonkers for awhile.

I can't think of any current ones yet, but I'm pretty sick of "Jumped the Shark" as well. :rolleyes

Every time someone starts a thread with "jumped the shark" in the title, it's like running fingernails down the chalkboard of my spine.

Or rubbing two styrofoam pieces together. Or maybe we need another thread just for that

"Jumped the shark." What do the San Jose Sharks have to do with this?

Somwhat back on topic: even though it's not a phrase I can go the rest of my life without ever hearing the word "stoked" again.

I guess I'm the only person in the world who has no idea what "jumping the shark" means, nor have I ever heard this used.
I have found the Truth and it doesn't make sense.

I think people are too quick to use it. Like there is an award for being the person who announces it first about a specific show.

I'm tired of of "it's all good" and "like". I'm sure I'm tired of other sayings too but I'm too tired to think of them.
