Never heard it called Mac and cheese. Suppose it's a cultural thing. You've probably never heard of Bangers and Mash, Champ, , Soda Farls, an Ulster Fry. All local Ulster delicacies

Champ is potato mash creamed with milk and scallions, its gorgeous. Soda Farls are a type of bread made with buttermilk, lovely toasted and an Ulster Fry is probably why N.Ireland has a very high rate of heart disease. It's bacon, sausage, fried egg, soda bread, potato bread and fried tomato all cooked in as much grease as possible!! A real delicacy. YUM

I used to eat the powdered cheese out of the little packet in the Kraft ones, and so my mom used to have to find other uses for the pasta or inprovise some cheese sauce. I find that if you ignore the amount of milk the directions suggest and just add a teeny splash, you get some better mac. I throw on some cayenne pepper too.

Homemade is my favorite kind too. Other than that I will eat any ole kind.
Sometimes I add a slice or two of sliced cheese to it and it makes it creamier. YUMMY!

I know some people who mix ketchup in, some who mix mustard in, and some who mix ketchup AND mustard in..

I like mine plain. I like the Velveeta Shells and Cheese kind best, but more often had the Kraft kind since my mother said it was cheaper. Hot dogs are good on the side.
