When I lived in New Brunswick it was 18 %. You had to add almost 20 percent to every purchase when figuring the cost.
Makes our 6.75% look better that's for sure. :peek
Unk, you know they get "free" health care--it get paid for somehow.
Alberta's sales tax is 5 percent: they have oil.
I'll happily pay that 13% to prevent having to either remortgage my house or sell it outright to cover the costs of my upcoming surgery and follow-up treatment.
