    Help with Airline tix please

My mother in law just called to see if I could find her cheap airline tix to Peru.
She said her daughter had once found some REALLY cheap ($450.00) but didn't know where.
I tried cheaptickets.com, but the lowest price there was 1,300
Do any of you know where I can look to find REALLY cheap tickets?

Maybe you could try Expedia.com, Yahoo! Travel, Travelocity.com, or Priceline.com?

    cool lobeck Thanks!
I actually remembered expedia, they were expensive too.
I think the problem is they want the ticket for Dec 26th and that is just too close. I checked for some January dates and got the price down to $750, but it's still more than they want to pay, and later than they want to go....
I'm going to try the others you mention, then just call her and tell her what I found.

    Thanks again bud

Travelocity was going to be my suggestion too, they're usually pretty good.
I have always found cheap tickets to be pretty expensive.

    Cali, try Hotwire.com.

Unlike Priceline, they tell you the lowest available price without having to place a bid.

You don't get to see the airline, but I think they only choose from the top 7 and they list which ones those are.

    Well, I think I'm done!
    Thank You all

I think that the trip will have to wait, or the price will be triple what my MIL was expecting

I think the time my sister in law got it for so cheap, it was way in advance and shortly after 9-11

Did you try lowestfares.com?They are usually pretty cheap and only use the better airlines.

You know, sometimes I have found lately that just going directly to the airline site can get you some good deals. I booked a flight on Delta today through delta.com that was several hundred dollars cheaper than expedia and travelocity
