    What's your favorite Christmas song?

What's your favorite Christmas song, and sung by whom (since many variations exist out there for most songs, and some totally blow)?

Mine is: "Do They Know it's Christmas?" by (I think) Band-Aid.

My wife just picked up a CD with that song on it, but sung by one guy instead of the whole crew. It's not bad either.

I'm a purist on Xmas music. Don't give me Elvis singing a song, or Liza Minelli singing "Jingle Bells", or Johnny Cash singing "The First Noel"...I want the original Bing Crosby or whatever.

And my least favorite of all time is The Little Drummer Boy.

As I stated in another thread, Feliz Navidad.

I also like Do They Know It's Christmastime.

    Ones I don't like? (Hold on, there's a bunch)

    Silver Bells
    O Christmas Tree
    Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime
    I'll Be Home For Christmas

And on and on and on. I'm with you John, I don't see the need for 50 pop artists to sing the same damn song.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

I love having Elvis sing Christmas songs

It really depends on my mood... I LOVE Bruce's Sant Clause Is Coming To Town, but also love a soft good version of Silent Night.

I have a soft spot for Little Drummer Boy, as it was my dad's favorite Christmas song too.

I guess I really like Helen from S5 singing "Sleigh Ride"....NOT!!!
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

If I can only pick one, it would be "Silent Night."

I love "Do they know it's Christmas" too.
You're right John, it is by Band Aid.

Last Christmas by Wham is quite good too, if not a little soppy.

I love "Merry Christmas Everybody" by Slade
"I wish it could be Christmas everyday" by Roy Wood and Wizard.
Those two are essential Christmas listening.

Fluff, don't kill me, but I really do like Britney Spears' "Santa Can You Hear Me?"

I also love all of Michael Martin Murphy's "Cowboy Christmas" CDs.

I love the version of Joy to the World that is on one of the Disney Christmas videos, where a fairy is skating on a pond to the music. Kind of Fantasia-like.

I also have a Cajun Christmas music CD called Alligator Stomp that is wonderful ... especially the version of Up On the Rooftop.

I like "Santa Baby", and I can't remember who sings it.
