| to the FORT Ima!My sister has three girls also, ages 7, 5, and 3. I was with her in the delivery room with her last and right after she had her she said, "I guess I can't make boys." After that she had her tubes tied because she didn't want anymore but with 2 girls already she was kinda hoping for a boy. I just thought her comment was hilarious and thought I'd share. BTW I'm a mom of a 5 year old boy. ![]()

| Don't you love the little "stories" they tell then don't understand why you don't believe them. For example, today my daughter comes in and tells me the wind blew my tailgate open and the spare tire out of the back of the truck. Yeah, right. Now she is pouting because I didn't believe her and told her she couldn't play outside anymore today because I have told her not to play in my truck. I tell her this almost daily and she still does. | |

| Eva, you are so kind I just think my kids have a shocking capacity for lying through their teeth.

| My daughter had her new preschool teacher convinced she was 5, not 4. She never relinquishes her point of view in an argument. I've noticed if something happens that bothers my daughter, she will retell the story and change it until she likes it. So like if she gets in trouble for taking someone's toy, she will start by saying the girl/boy made her mad because they wouldn't share and pretty soon that kid took her toy and needs to do a time out. Even if I witnessed the whole thing, she will change it around until she is the innocent party. ![]() | |

| Kids and lying, I hope it is just a passing phase or I will be in trouble when they get into their teens... My older son is pretty good at this lying thing. He has this completely corrupted mindset and the skill of making people believe he is innocent. I believe it's a born quality (I swear I have nothing to do with it ) because neither I nor my husband masters the art. A politician in the making I tell you. Then on the other hand my younger son is hopeless as a liar. He just can't act it out right, and I know immediately if he is lying. He can't even fake cry right: he sounds like a comic book character when he is faking it, now who would believe that.
