Hey, if he decides to stay with the company and go into management, he'll be able to go to TJ's kick-butt management conference at the Hotel del Coronado! (if they still have it there when he reaches that point)

My ex after my ex-husband used to work there and loved it. I would like him to have a job there but I also want him to figure out what he'd like to do with his life eventually.
    Yup, with donuts!!

I think your son must be drinking Ellen's Kool-Aid!

Maybe Ellen can write him a letter of recommendation when the time comes!

That's how I got hired by the museum. I volunteered there first.

I actually heard something on the radio today saying that teens are more likely to get minium wage type jobs right now as people lay off full time workers who make a higher salary in favor of part time jobs for teenagers making minimum wage and not getting benefits. After my last visit to Walgreens, I think that has to be the case. Because I swear everyone but the pharmacist looked about 12.

Thanks to everyone for their input. My son and I fought over this tonight. His argument...."You wanted me to find a job, I found a job and now you don't want me to take it". To be continued I guess........

Bunny, I'm sorry about the fight. But he may eventually realize you were right.

You could tell him 'oddly enough, no I don't want you to take a job where you break the law'. Really, what were you thinking to try to tell him not to take this job? Aren't kids great.
