| Re: The Oasis - A spot for FORT parents This must have been the week for FoRT sons to get haircuts!!! My 15-year old likes his long and truthfully I don't mind. (Much bigger battles to bother with despite what my MIL thinks.) But it was getting very scraggly and that I didn't like. He got it shaped and trimmed, but it is still on the longish side. It wasn't so very many years ago that I gave him a 1/4" buzz every three weeks myself. Gutmutter, I'm sorry about the leftovers. |

| Re: The Oasis - A spot for FORT parents I don't mind longer hair either its just most of these boys never carry a comb with them! They all end up looking like homeless people who haven't washed their hair! lolol

| Re: The Oasis - A spot for FORT parents A big hug to your niece Newf. That's a good place to be - with chemo behind you. The hair will grow back.

| Re: The Oasis - A spot for FORT parents I'm about ready to gabriel. He was selling a truck that's been in my driveway a year with the back loaded up with trash from his painting business last summer. He asked me to empty out the trash, so I spent a winter Saturday sorting it into recylables, trash, and paint cans that have to be paid to dispose of. When he got home I asked him to take care of it and he looked wide-eyed at me and said he thought I'd already done that. *sigh* I've done 5 loads of laundry he was saving up for me (the basement's still flooded and you need tall rubber boots to manage down there or he'd do it himself). I pity the woman who marries him. I've tried, but nagging does no good. Dirty dishes, clothes, and trash everywhere in his wake.

| Re: The Oasis - A spot for FORT parents I hope so gabriel. I woke up in a pissy mood and will probably take it out on the first student who looks funny at me. I think I'm a little depressed because my mom's coming for Easter and I have no chance of keeping up with my son's mess when I'm at work all day. I've explained about her coming but it doesn't even register. She is quick to criticize so I'm sure I'll hear all about it.

| Re: The Oasis - A spot for FORT parents It always amazes me that no matter how old we are, just one critical word from a parent can make us feel like we're five years old again! I feel for you, Gut. Just keep thinking that the visit will soon be over. I love my family - but from a distance. |
