How hectic is your Thanksgiving holiday?
We go to my Aunt & Uncle's house for lunch & football with my side of the family, and then go to the In-Laws house for dinner with my wife's family.
Lots of fun, but at least they're both fairly close (30 miles).
this year shouldn't be too hectic. sc and i did my fam turkey day last saturday. tomorrow will be dinner at his brother's and sister-in-law's house, which is just a couple of miles away... just the 4 of us unless his mom is healthy enough to get out. should be fairly relaxing.![]()
Even though I do not live in the States, we still have Thanksgiving here.
I visited family last month.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.
Usually, it's pretty sedate. Spend the day at one person's house. Sometimes, it's at our house (usually because we're expecting babies to arrive). Sometimes, we fly to California to be with my wife's parents. This year, we're driving down to Denver to spend it with my brother's fiancee's family. They just got engaged last week, BTW.

When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

Congrats on the new addition to your family.
Must be nice to have one that doesn't need changing.![]()

Thanks, Miss F!
She's been a member of the family for years. This just makes it "official", I guess.

Not too hectic this year. Thursday we're spending the day at my parents' house. My cousin, his wife, and two kids will be joining us. Friday we're having Thanksgiving again - this time at my in-law's house, my wife's aunt will be in from Houston, and both her grandmothers will be there. Tried to get both sets of parents together, but one of the grandmothers is too frail to travel the 30 miles to my folks house.
Here is an ignorant Canadian question.
Why do Americans celebrate Thanksgiving on THURSDAYS? The extra holiday?
Traditionally we celebrate on Monday as we do most of our holidays, so that's just something I've always wondered.

It's all about getting the 4 day weekend Miss F.!
