You know what your 2 yr old might enjoy Stargazer? The Leap Frog Imagination Desk. We bought that last year for kiddo's Bday and she LOVES it. She already knew her alphabet but now she can associate the sounds with each letter. The replacement colouring pages are all free online (when you register your product) We were very happy with it. Now that she is in pre-reading stages I think My First Leap Pad is going to be a huge hit.
We have the same 'rule' in our house. Our daughter writes a letter to Santa and she is only to ask for the one gift that she really, really wants. Santa is much too busy to be making hundreds of toys for each child, besides, it's greedy.Quote:

A cheque came in the mail yesterday from her Great-Grandma, she's never sure what to buy. She sent $100 (which I think is too much but GG wants to see her money enjoyed before she 'passes on' as she calls it) We are going to buy kiddo a new table and chair set and the rest will go into her bank account.

I just figured that I'd rather start early than later with the limits on presents. Then it's not a big surprise or change for them, it is something that we've always done. It's SO HARD when they are bombarded with commercials at this time of year though.
