Yeah -- god forbid that anyone should eat two days in a row!

Alberta Teacher wins contest to write new NHL anthem!! WOO HOO!!

Canadian Gold is the new anthem for the NHL. I love the original and always will.

Go to my post in Sports to hear both the old and new songs.

What do you think of the new anthem?

I just wanted to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving!

(I am not Canadian, but do have some ancestors from Ontario...so I hope it is okay to crash in on your discussion!)

It was a glorious weekend here in Toronto - it was 28 degrees yesterday. Unfortunately I did something painful to my back on Thursday, so my four days off were spent primarily lying on the couch.
And so it begins, the end of times..

Looks like only about 59% of us voted. Isn't that just absolutley pathetic! Those who didn't vote certainly shouldn't be able to complain about anything political until the next election.

Everyone I know made it out to vote. And I know that a couple close defeats were because people just assumed their candidate would get in for another term and didn't bother to cast their ballot. Shame.

This was the WORST voting turnout for a federal election in a very long time. Canada's voter percentage was worse than the 1st election in Afghanistan, the last USA election and the last election in the UK.

I think a big part is that our young voters are not interested in what's going on and don't bother.
