Isn't poutine french fries with cheese on them? If it is, it is pretty good.

I thought it was french fries with some kind of gravy.

It's cheese curds and gravy. I get ill just looking at them. But then, the very idea of a bacon cheeseburger has pretty much the same effect. Bleh!

Fries with cheese on them are good. Gravy, not so much.

Hey, has anyone sent in a song to be considered for Hockey Night in Canada? I've heard a song or two on a commercial but they don't lite my fire like the old theme song does.

Entry date ends August 31st. Then voting begins October 4th. Someone put in some good entries! I don't like much that's there.

I'm going to be a recalcitrant old poop and not appreciate any tune that isn't the good old Hockey Night in Canada theme. So there.

    Thank you Gut!!

I've heard some of them, but I'm not sure I can ever think of HNIC as anything other than its original.

Re: How many Canadians are there here?

I'd like to ask all you Canadians a question. If someone refers to an American, do you think that refers to people from the United States--or Canada as well?

I ask because a Canadian woman I met was enraged that people weren't referring to her as an American, but rather as a Canadian. I didn't want to infuriate her, so I kept quiet. But I tend to think of U.S. folks when I hear "American" and of folks from Canada as "Canadian."

    Thanks for your input!
