Re: Hair problem or questions

Instead of having all over color (because of the whole grow-out issue) I have a couple different colors woven in. This allows me to go longer between colorings without it being obvious. At $120 a pop - I just can't justify doing it every 6 weeks.

Re: Hair problem or questions

Oh, I could? I was just afraid of getting a warning for double posting. I got the help I needed though, I was wondering how to do my hair for a halloween costume party. I went with Curly, wild and BIGGG! It looked like I was standing with a fan pointed at me all night I'm working on getting pics off of my camera to share.

But with hangover hands, it's a slow process

Re: Hair problem or questions

Awhile back I posted about WEN hair care and how much I liked it. While I do still think it is a very nice product, I really hate paying $38 everytime I need more. Therefore, I went on the prowl looking for something that was as good as WEN, but local and cheaper. I think I found it. I have been using Real Solutions shampoo and conditioner for about 2 weeks now. I really, really like this stuff. My hair feels very much the same as it did with WEN, but unlike WEN, I can blowdry my hair and it still looks great. WEN would make my hair extremely frizzy and dry when I would blowdry it. After futher reading in the WEN booklet, it does say to let hair air dry. Anyway, found Real Solutions at a local Target, since it uses many organic ingredients and is Sulfate free, I thought I would give it a try. Big bonus was that is was only $4.98 a bottle. Here is the link to their website for anyone who might be interested. I have been using the moisture recovery on mine and the kids hair. I think I will try the color and then the frizz next...just to see how they are.

Real Solutions | Beauty as Nature Intended.

Re: Hair problem or questions

On Saturday I had my black hair bleached out. I have a very nice chocolate brown now (even though sections are still very dark) but now it's very brittle from the bleaching. I'm just conditioning it nightly and trying not to brush too often. I know it will calm down, it's traumatized but it still sucks because I want to be able to just brush and go!

Re: Hair problem or questions

Although I know it's not good for my hair, I shampoo it every day, because I feel dirty if I don't. However, I heard about a product you can put on your hair/scalp between shampoos. Have any of you heard of such thing and where can I buy it?

What's the product supposed to do?

Re: Hair problem or questions

my daughter uses regular unscented baby powder in her hair. It absorbs the oil and if you use it sparingly, it doesn't make your hair white at all. It's the oils that make you feel dirty and itchy.

Re: Hair problem or questions

DR, this stuff has been around since the 70's, and it works pretty well from what I remember. They probably carry it in regular drugstores, too, but I really haven't gone looking for it:

PSSST spray shampoo
