Hair problem or questions

OK riddle me this.. How do most clients tip? I never know.. what is the appropriate amount and then a great amount? In addition to tipping I send my stylist treats through out the year. A cookie boquet, candles, flowers, wine.. stuff like that.

I have a question. Currently, my hair is the longest it has been in years, and it is driving me absolutely batty! I'm really wanting to cut it off, the only thing is, that come January, I'll be doing some traveling, and I won't really have time for visiting the stylist. Are there any shorter cuts that you can suggest that are relatively low maintenance, that will grow out gracefully??? (I hate when you have a really short style, and you like it for two weeks- then it turns into a mullet. I don't have the money to get it professionally done that often! )

This style is the latest rage that`s going around. It`s also popular longer and flipped up. This will grow out nicely, because it`s thinner around the edges.

I wish somebody would give me a make-over from head to toe. You know, how they do in some of those new tv shows, where they do the hair, make-up and clothes. Sometimes I feel out of style. I just got a nice hair trim but I'd love for a professional to get ahold of me and work their magic.
