Apparently Troy Aikman is no grammar expert either; his sentence is incorrect.

That's what I thought. I probably just made up a bad example when I mentioned it the first time, because he does this all the time. Thanks, guys.

If anyone needs good examples of poor grammar and horrendous spelling, Facebook is the place to go.

The sidebar ads are horrible -- especially those hawking adult education programs. I've found numerous punctuation errors: comma splices, forming a simple plural with apostrophe + s [we need teacher's], forming the possessive of "it" with apostrophe + s, to name a few. I wouldn't be surprised if their diplomas (or should I say "diploma's"?) contained errors!

I have to admit that I frequently have to go back and remove apostophes that I've erroneously placed in a possessive "its". There is a reason, though - all the other possessives have apostrophes (eg. my neighbour's dogs are waaaaay too noisy), so I do it without thinking for the one that doesn't require it.
All I wanted was a 45, a stinking 45 - the record or the gun. I'd even settle for the damn malt liquor. - Al Bundy.

At least you aren't as bad as a former co-worker. He used to place an apostrophe before every 's' that came at the end of a word....and never go back to correct it. Still makes me laugh today!
