I didn't have time to go through all the pages, just the last 10 or so, the number of times I see "then" for "than" is shocking. For example, "I'd rather have the red one then the blue one".

I noticed that too.

My cousin-in-law sent us a letter. In one paragraph she had 2 words misused. One was so far off I had to read it a few times before I figured out what she was trying to say. She said she has a mother's since. I kept looking for the part after since to be explanatory until I realized she didn't actually have any sense of which word to use!! The other was 'take it for granite', one that my MIL actually argued with my husband that granite was the correct word, because she thinks it means 'take it to be set in stone'.

This is a sentence that I posted in "The View" thread yesterday and, when I read back, I was horrified!!! I must have been half asleep!!!

Am I the last person to learn that Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins has split up over the summer??

I would edit that to read "let us not forget."

It makes me crazy when people say "anyways" when they mean "anyway." Why the "s"? I don't get it!
