18 year old Ducky - why the hell are you living in Canada? Why did I just see that dork, Dylan? I thought we were giving him the flick. You MARRIED him? Because he got you PREGNANT? I thought we were smarter than that. Got any money?

aww bored I am sorry it probably won't be nearly as dramatic till you've had some life experience and lived on your own. But, do keep the idea in mind since I would bet things that would have been earth shattering to you at age ten are probably no big deal now huh? That seems to be a theme in life anyway! Like HS how it soooo mattered to me then if I got a paticular pair of jeans or whether or not someone liked or didn't like me. Now, much later those things just are no big deal. But you have to experience that for yoursef. Just knowing now that the majority of the circumstances you find yourself in are tempoary and won't matter tommrow. Of course not talking about things that are long term like grades, things you do to your body, all that! Sorry to lecture!!

30 year self to 18 year old self: Life is going to get better. You are going to have to go through a lot of painful stuff, but you're going to be okay.

I was so lonely and messed up at 18. I wish I'd had a friend I could confide in, but I didn't because I never let anyone get close. So that's what I would tell myself. I don't think my 18 year old self would have anything to say to me, i.e. trust me enough to tell me her feelings. I know how weird that sounds.

    Me too! 83 and 87.

I've actually come full circle to where I thought I was headed directly! Major detours along the way, but I'm finally married, doing well in a computer career. No kids, though. Somehow, I always thought I'd probably have kids, even though I really didn't want any.
I've learned alot along the way that I wouldn't have if I'd gone straight from there to here.
