    Toilet Water

According to one magazine (forgot the brand though lol) you should close the toilet bowl before flushing. Why? Water vapors up to 4 feet high come shooting out from the toilet's water and is able to cause illness. Toothbrushes and other hygiene products they should be kept away farthest from the toilet or in a cabinet/closet.

It was a pretty interesting article.

I read an article saying the same thing a few years ago. The easiest thing to do if you have a really small bathroom is to put your toothbrushes inside the medicine cabinet (where your meds shouldnt be.. the humidity kills the potency of the drugs :rolleyes ) or you can buy these cool little snap on covers for your toothbrush bristles.

It is true, I saw an experiment once where they colored the water or put some sort of chemical in it then flushed just one time and then put one of those CSI light finding liquid thingies on the brand new tooth brush and wham dots of the chemical. They also aimed the light at the toilet when they flushed it and it showed the particles spraying all over into the air.. just ewwwwwww.. so my solution is to keep my toothbrush in a drawer/cabinet and to have the toilet in it's own little room in the bathroom where the door can be shut!!

I heard the bacteria that rises when a toilet fluses goes as far as 20 feet.

We have the toilets sectioned off in out bathrooms.
It's a hygenic solution if your bathroom is configured in a way to allow it.

Or ... you can put down the lid before you flush?

It would make sense since you have to put the seat back down too Rab and senrick
