    Well, yeah maybe its true, but if you think about it, the gross stuff that sprays out at you has already passed through your mouth anyways, so why not digest it again? just kidding

    how is a cover that is 1/4 inch from the seat when closed supposed to stop vapor and bacteria etc? and what about the 1/4 inch gap between the seat and the toilet itself?

    Has anyone ever tried drinking toilet water? I mean, if it's good enough for man's best friend, shouldn't it be good enough for us? And if it's full or germs and stuff, then why the heck are we letting our pets drink it?

    well to be technical dogs do have an antiseptic chemical in their saliva. Helps since they go around licking and eating much worse.
