commercials
I realize this is tame for the CE forum, but also thought it was a bit much for the general forum... not sure why.
Anyway... do I NEED to see commercials for KY warming jelly on TV? Is this something I want to explain to my kids? Why do they advertise stuff like this in the early evening?
-
Vets use KY for animals. (Don't anyone get any incorrect visuals!)
I know what you mean Cali, but there will never be an end to the: Viagra, feminine itching products, heavy days, constipation, herpes, etc, etc. The ball has rolled and it will not be stopped. Of course, it's better that you explain well it before other kids try to.

It's also a pet peeve of mine.
Especially pads and tampons. Any woman knows that a certain pad or tampon is not going to make you feel THAT good as it would appear on the commercials. If only they saved all that cost on advertising and passed it on to us raving PMS chicks.

:yeahthat
What really bugs me... which isn't CE thing, but when they advertise prescription meds, tell you to ask your Doc if it's right for you, but doesn't tell you what the hell it's for.
-
:laugh I've thought that same thing, Cali. I keep waiting for the day that I go to my doctor and ask about the newest wonder drug, just to have her say to me "Well, Amanda, unless I've been incredibly remiss in my previous examinations, prostate medicine really isn't in order here."

I really like that commercial for the Viagra rip-off, where no one can guess what's different about Bob. I keep expecting one of Bob's co-workers to say "Bob, you look different. Is that a giant h*rd-on?"
(Okay, that just made it CE-worthy...But it had to be said.)

:rofl :rofl
Thats hilarious John!! I keep expecting the exact same thing!

::spew::
Wow. Wasn't expecting that! :rofl

:rofl John!
I always crack up when I hear the commercials for new prescription meds that have tons of side effects like feeling gassy, getting bad breath, having low sex drive, etc. Doesn't sound like a good trade-off.
It was either Mad TV or SNL that did a funny skit about this.
