The insurance commercials with Flo (progressive?). I donít mind her, but Iím concerned about how they bully Jamie. Early on a bunch of them were chanting for him to drink milk and heís lactose intolerant. Recently the guy behind the desk claims he doesnít know him, even though Jamie trained him and shares a locker with him, while greeting everybody else who goes by. Now Flo is introducing team members with glowing praise until she gets to Jamie. She says his name and nothing else. He says, ďPresentĒ to break the awkwardness and she lets it hang. Bullying of any kind is wrong and this is just so unnecessary.

I wonder if that is their backdoor way of making those situations teaching situations. I think the first Jamie as schlub scene was with a new girl who gets her pricing tool from Flo and Jamie thought he was special because he had one and she didn't. Then they moved on to him thinking he was as much a stud as the new guy and shot down. Anyway...they are uncomfortable commercials.

I've always hated the slogan for Kay Jeweler's commercials, "Every kiss begins with Kay". Really? Guys are supposed to pay in diamonds every time they want a kiss? Isn't that prostitution?

I know it's supposed to be romantic and clever but I just find it offensive. I don't like the idea that men are encouraged to spend money to get to first base with their date or that women are portrayed as gold-diggers who will do anything, including put out, for a diamond.

There must be some better way to word their slogan.

In some ways, I want my husband to believe and continue to believe that I will do anything for diamonds

Well, I'm just happy that the Trivago Guy got rid of the yellow hair and back to his sexy gray...Valentine's Day and all, don't you know?

I don't like the Jamie/Progressive commercials much either, but I really can't stand the Progressive ads with the Box. Especially the Box and the chinchilla ad - ugh. Time for the Box to go in the recycling bin already. Bring Flo back.

I get what you mean. It goes along with the jewelry stores that imply you don't love her enough if you don't spend umpteen dollars on her engagement ring.
