Whats in a name???

Um...I knew a kid named Utensil. :lol

Then my friend had a friend named Heaven.

Then I knew someone who named their daughter Hoover.

Then there was Skyla. That's my friend's cousin.

A little girl that goes to my mother's school (she's a nurse) is named Sugar Girl. :ohno

I know a kid called Skye. She's the friend of one of my other friends. And there's Dany (pronounced Day-nee). And a boy called Jan, said pronounced Yahn. There was another boy called Chunkit. Most of my friend have pretty normal sounding names.

I have some neighbors who have uncommon names. One of them was Grenadine. I guess it sounds pretty nice, but I wouldn't want to be named after a drink. Another was Antoinetta, but besides that there weren't any more. And a name like that really isn't weird anyway.

I'm sure there's more, but this is all I can think of right now.

Dear me. But I still love those Ripley's Believe it or Not! books. They used to have the kind where they had all of the things they ever discovered in a series of chapter books. Man, I wish I could read them again, but I'm not in 5th grade any more. :mad:

I only know one that's even close to crazy...we have a cashier at the store I work at named Cookie. (and sort of ironic that she used to be a bakery manager for another company years ago)

Cookie isn't really that weird of a name...although in your case it is a good coincidence that she used to work in a bakery.

haejin11377 - You mean there's more than one Ripley's Belive it or Not! book? Woah.

That's right, Rab. They had this series of chapter books, each with many, many Believe it or Not!s in it. Very, very, interesting. But I don't think it's being published any more. When I first read them in 5th grade, the copies my teacher had were pretty old, so I'd guess that they're out-of-print or hard-to-find.
