Home: Custom Built system. Unless you are a geek the specs won't mean much. But it triple-boots XP, Linux and FreeBSD.

512mb ram, system on an IDE RAID controller with 80gb of storage (and no its not hot-swappable).

and then my wifes laptop which is a CQ EVO laptop.

Work.... why is it I always have a lousy computer at work.

    Linux ? what's that ?? I am just kidding.

I don't think normal users find Linux useful..

    Speaking of clusters...

My home network sports a VAX cluster for the heavy-duty compute problems. (2 micro vax's with ethernet connectivity). Have two LINUX web servers, 1 Windows server 2003, 1 Windows Advanced server, 3 Windows XP systems (my son's and my wife's computers), Linux workstation, 2 Windows 2000 Pro laptops, 1 laptop with Linux, 1 itanium (64 bit processor) dual booting to Windows 2003 and VMS.

At last count I had 200G of storage in 2 RAID 5 arrays.

They don't call me drnetwork for nothing!

Yes, we do exist. We generally hide in science departments all over the world :-)
