| Re: What simple things make you happy? Rattus, up until last month I would have said I had a black thumb. I still have the plants from the funeral growing. I re-potted and must have done it right. I now am the proud mama of 17 planters (with 2 or three plants). I am slowly giving them away to my son's friends. That way, if they later die, I can say it wasn't because of me! My tomato and grn pepper seeds are finally starting to sprout. Spring is in the air! |

| Re: What simple things make you happy? Yesterday I was out doing some yard work. Raking the debris out of my flower garden and I found 3 pansy plants and two of them are blooming with beautiful purple and white pansies. They are annuals but must have seeded themselves and somehow survived our horrible long winter. The sight of those flowers growing in the otherwise dead flower bed made me so happy. I told my husband that when he tills the bed up to be careful not to kill the pansies. If they are tough enough to survive our winters, they deserve to live. |
