this morning, it would have to be the sounds of my baby girl waking up. She was so happy babbling away in her crib, it made me gush.
And gabriel...just for you...

Curling up in bed reading a good magazine or watching my soaps!
Fresh fruit!!!! I love that it's strawberry season!!! YUMMY
Posting about my neighbours reminded me of this simple summer pleasure. Sitting on my back deck on a humid summer evening watching the boys chasing insects in needs-to-be-mowed grass and listening to the neighbour lad playing jazz on his trumpet in the distance. Such perfect contentment.
gabriel: I'm playing the same broken record. Mr. Tootles and Little Miss Gracie-kins. They just brighten up every cotton-pickin day one way or another. And yes, when they greet you at the door every time you come in, it's just a small blessing! :biglove
And I love to watch them sleep. So peacefully, tail over nose, front legs crossed touching back legs, twitching their ears or paws once in awhile while they dream of whatever they're dreaming. Little (or big) furry tummies moving up and down as they breath. Sigh. So sweet. :zzz
Living each day knowing I am living in a very safe country without bombs falling all around me.
It may not be simple, but it's timely.
Getting a phone call from my college-bound daughter asking my opinion or seeking my advice.
My girl still needs me. . .sometimes anyway. :biglove
Animals .. they love you unconditionally. Especially my dog when I say "Hi Baby" and she rolls over to have her tummy rubbed ... or when I'm petting her and I stop for a moment and she reaches out with her paw for more ... or when I'm getting her food ready and I feel her gently touch my ankle with her paw to remind me she's waiting. I love that stuff :)
anemone: You're much too young to have a college-aged daughter :nod
echo. I so "echo" your statements. (remove word dog: insert cat)
My kitties. I haven't been well last couple of days. Mr. Tootles keep coming to me in bed wondering why I'm not up. He stays and keeps me company and walks on me just to make sure I'm still alive. Today he started biting my arm in an attempt to get me up. It worked. I got up and had something to eat and feel better. Miss Gracie even ventured into my room to let out a couple of very loud ME-OWS! Little monkeys :biglove.
