| last night I experienced the best little simple pleasure. My 7 year old decided to read a book to the "baby" (aka, my tummy). I was overcome with love watching her excitement at the prospect of becoming a big sister - FINALLY. ![]()

| Awwwww - that's a sweet one. My simple pleasure is my 14 year old daughter telling me every day, "You're so pretty". Now, I have more bags and sags than actual features and only 3/4" of hair, so I know better, but I'm glad she thinks so.

| My daughter has a friend who freely tells her brother she loves him in public and he responds in kind. Now that really impressed me. I can't imagine my kids doing that without the intention to embarass each other.

| I guess getting hit on by a kid who was all of 19 years old at work today would qualify for this thread I'm busy impressing my new boss by keeping a bunch of boys from breaking expensive items while she talks to their karate dojo sensei or whatever and I get one boy pointedly asking me if that's a wedding ring I have on. Who knew I looked really good in a chinese happy coat ![]()

| Planning vacations. I love the anticipation of the trip and planning where we are going to go. This fall is our 25th anniversary and we've decided to take a long vacation to the mountains of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, and see some places we've never been. I've been playing with MapQuest and figuring out how long it will take to drive between places and it's funny how happy I am when I'm doing that. ![]() |

| Sounds like a great trip, Marleybone! My husband returned to work today. He's been off since before Christmas and was supposed to go back last week when we all got sick. Anyway, he sent me flowers to say how much he missed being home with me. Funny how I haven't stopped smiling since I got those flowers! ![]()
