| It really makes me happy when I come into the kitchen in the morning to find out that my boyfriend did the dishes the night before. It's just so nice that I don't have to worry about it. | |

| Buttertarts, guarantee contentment ![]() The smells of the house after a day of cooking and baking. The house decorated for Christmas. My family all around. My dog's snores. My husband playing the piano. Oscar the great blue heron. A beautiful wild flower. Bulbs poking through in the late winter. Foggy days. Clear starry nights when you can see thick layers of stars. Sleeping in and having no plans for the day. A bath in the middle of a cold winter day. I could carry on... | |

| Having a conversation with my nephew... I feel like he is the epitome of "kids say the darndest things" and he always makes me crack up! |

| Cold rainy day, soft couch, a fuzzy blanket, steaming mug of tea, good book and a fat cat purring on my tummy. Also singing because I love to sing. La la! |

| As I was wheeling my bike along the deck to the bike shed last night, I found myself kind of hoping that Mr. Rattus would come to the back door to greet me as he sometimes does. I was struck by how much I still love him after 20 odd (sometimes very odd) years, and how much he loves me, and that fact alone makes me happier than anything else ever could.

I love this. My dog (pug) snores all the time and sometimes we can hear her in the next room. My b/f and I just look at each other and smile. The baby is asleep and content.

TWICE! The simple love of an animal is amazing. When I hear purring, I know that all is well. Just like the snore of a happy puppy ![]() ![]()
