Count your blessings!
A visit and some uninterrupted time with my adult son.
I had the pleasure of spending the day with my adult son not too long ago, and I understand this completely. As simple as it seems, my heart was filled with happiness when I experienced the outstanding man he has become.
It made all the frustrating teenage/college years worth it.![]()
Oy to the teenage years; I remember them not too fondly. My son and my nephew both attended the same college and were roommates. Sis and I had polar opposite reactions to our first born children leaving the nest to attend school. My sister was sobbing uncontrollably and I was doing a happy dance. Yes, a happy dance. Although my son was a good kid who did well in school and did not get into trouble, he and I used to butt heads at every turn. There was never an argument he didn't like. Now at the tender age of 27 he and I are in such a good place. It makes my heart happy.![]()
You know my son, too, would argue with a rock.....just because......Told him it was a shame that he didn't become a lawyer. Mine, too, is 27, and we do well together most of the time, until he forgets and sees me as "the rock" and starts up. Good thing I raised him to "know his place", and he knows when to shut up!![]()

When you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, you know which one you hit by the one that yelps!
I start my Angel Tree volunteer work tomorrow! I am really looking forward to it. I start out doing data entry, and who knows what I'll end up doing. Having been retired for a while, I'm kind of wondering how my patience for "dumb stuff" will be. Good thing I laugh easily!![]()
