What simple things make you happy?

It happens so commonly around here on that particular street that I once saw a guy at the head of the line of cars honk his car horn in frustration, I guess, over the delay. All that accomplished is that the whole line of geese--this time, all adult geese--stopped dead, turned, glared at the car, and waited a good long time before proceeding across the street again. It was like they knew darn well they had the right of way and they weren't about to hurry for Mr. Impatient.

Believe me, it was every bit as funny as you imagined it to be. That guy was just totally dissed by a flock of geese. Made it clear to me why everyone just waits for them to cross the road. They may be slow, but trying to rush them simply will not work.

Finishing laundry and having everything ironed that needs it (I never thought I would say such a thing, but indeed, it makes me happy to be done!)

After an accident in October from which I am now recovered, it makes me happy to be able to do most of the things I could do with ease before I fell down the stairs. The support of my friends on FORT made me happy and able to have some fun while I was healing.

Reading that Columbia is now up and running again after her long and painful recovery.
Also, being home and on summer vacation. Sleeping until I wake naturally, napping if I feel like it. Checking things off of my "things to do" list at my own pace without deadlines. Playing with the cats/kitten/dog. Reading. Ahhhhh... life is good.

Nice cars Unk! I got happy looking at the full moon sailing in the sky tonight. It was golden and veiled in clouds--so pretty!!

Relaxing in bed, listening to some music on my mp3 player, and my dogs. Especially my crazy little chihuahua.. she is so funny!
