Mine is student related, too. I played the number 32 in a classroom game this week and asked if anyone could guess why I chose that number (it was my basketball number in high school). One of the students guessed that it was my age (I'm 53). New teacher's pet.
    Count your blessings!

When my cat headbutts me because she wants love. I adore that.

I love the "silent meow". Their mouths make the motion, their eyes squinch up, but no noise comes out. Be still my thumping heart!

Yep. Mine does that all the time. She is the most affectionate cat I have ever owned. She purrs like a motorboat 24 hours a day. She was the best gift anyone ever gave me.

My A/C is FINALLY off, the windows are open to let in the cool breeze and the baby that I sent off to college last week is home with a pile of dirty laundry and a ravenous appetite.

Dunkin Donuts iced coffee. I know it isn't Starbuck's, but for $2 and some change, it's pretty damn good.

The minor bathroom remodel--that took four days--is finally over and I have my house to myself again.

    Starbucks is over rated.

ITA! Over the years, I have honestly tried to like something from Starbucks.... I would, on occassion, have a latte or cappuccino from there, but never felt the need to have another. By and large, most of Starbucks menu is "dessert coffee". I love a good cup of regular black coffee.... not too strong, not flavoured, not bitter over cooked beans.... just honest coffee. something starbucks has not mastered. Hence, I prefer tim hortons black coffee. A simple pleasure, for sure. And under 2 bucks for an extra large.
