My son just looks so darn cute when he's concentrating on doing stuff like putting on his socks. It must be nice to have people beaming at you just for putting your socks on! he also said he wants to have a twonie party (our $2 coin) for his birthday and give half to charity (he's in preschool), that made me smile. Final simple thing that made me smile today: really great double rainbow! Amazing sky show for the family. Going outside now to try to find the end
I had to bring my daughter to work with me tonight. Her sitter closes her doors at 5:30 and, being the boss now, I had to make sure a job got done. It made me so happy to see her behave at the office. She ate her kids meal, did her homework then filled out my September birthday calander. She spent an hour filling it out and erasing it then filling it out again. (dry erase board) I also noticed her handwriting is getting so much better. My baby is growing up.
A wonderful drive through the country with my husband.The feel of a kitten's fur against my cheek. The smell of fall and winter. Picking up the phone and hearing a beloved friend on the other line. Walking into the store and seeing the first of the Halloween decorations out!
balloons over reno. this is what I got to see on my way home today. Its the balloon races in reno and this is what they call "The mass acsension" where they all take off at once. it was perfect today, 40 degrees which means they don't have to use as much fuel to heat the balloons.
Having my family all together in the same room. Once they get married and head off to college there aren't that many times that we can get together. My married son just left Friday for Mississippi with the National Guard, but he was originally suppposed to have gone last weekend. It turned out that last Sunday he was still here and I got to have both my sons and DIL home with me on my birthday. That was the best gift anyone could have given me.
