Trying new things... I was at an odd lots store today and saw steak flavored potato chips. You know I had to get them. Know what? They taste like steak!

Re: What simple things make you happy?

I've had potato chips that tasted like a hamburger with ketchup and pickles, and they were a dead ringer, also! You could actually taste each of the components!

I'm still looking for garlic flavored potato chips.

Re: What simple things make you happy?

We had microwave popcorn about a month ago that was butter and garlic flavor and it was great! We threw the box away and when I went to look for it again, couldn't find it! I can't remember which store I got it at or what brand, but I'm pretty sure it was a major one like Orville Redinbaker (sp?) or Paul Newman. I look everywhere I go. I know I didn't make it up!

My dad called it SOS. I got some frozen not long ago. Made it and made toast to go with it. It wasn't like I remembered it either.,

BUT, I did make a version of it using hamburger and cream of mushroom soup and that was pretty good.

Re: What simple things make you happy?

Too funny. When I was a kid and my Dad told me about his experience with it in the Army and the name the guys gave to it, I was never even tempted to try it.

Driving in my air conditioned car when it is 106 degrees outside. My current car is the first I have ever had with air conditioning. I have had it for 6 years and I never take that cool experience for granted.
