Re: What simple things make you happy?

I can't wait to have that feeling too, Closet.

I'm happy that it's a beautiful spring day, the birds are singing, the sun is shining and I just brought a project in 2 days before it's due date. (of course, everything else is behind schedule, but this one is DONE!)

Watching children have an "ahha" moment while teaching them.

The walk to the bus this morning, it was a clear morning, no wind at all and the birds were singing. Just beautiful and wonderful.

Re: What simple things make you happy?

I wish I could say the same about my 2 minute walk in to work. It was so bitterly cold. My simple pleasure is no school tomorrow means no work for me! So instead I'm going for lunch with a really special teacher and then taking my cousins to see Bride Wars and if it's nice for a walk around the park!

Seeing spring finally begin to arrive..sunnier days, birds singing and milder temps. Love it!

Re: What simple things make you happy?

All the great sights and smells of spring... fresh tilled garden soil, newly mowed grass, blooming shrubs...lilac, currant, viburnums. Watching my perennials busting through the ground. Going outside after a rain, when everything looks so fresh and green. The relief of the last calf being born and its mom encouraging it to nurse and watching as it gets the warm milk in its belly and it tail begins to wag. Just being able to take the time to enjoy it all.

Sounds wonderful INthegarden. We are wet, damp, miserable. The dogwoods are blooming, but can't enjoy them as it has poured for 3 days. I think I just saw ducks swimming down the street.

My simple pleasure was getting my closet rearranged and getting out my warm weather clothes. It's like getting a new wardrobe.

Re: What simple things make you happy?

I have finally figured out how to stop someone from sending me tons of annoying anti-Obama emails. About 90 percent of them weren't true at all, so I started googling, checking Snopes, then cut and paste or send a link, disproving all his "facts". The emails have completely stopped! Which is what I wanted in the first place. He even stopped sending the chain mail crap and all the feel good, send a hug/kiss/snowball fight, etc junk that floats around. I ignored him for a long time, then even sent a polite email asking him not to send me any of those types of email and nothing worked until now.

Re: What simple things make you happy?

Lil Bit,you are nicer than I am--I usually just direct such people's emails right into the spam folder, where I don't even have to look at them.
Simple things that make me happy--Freecycle! I've started listing a few things on there, and have been lucky enough to get rid of all I've listed--and I'm just starting. I should have my closets and back room pretty much weeded-out soon, so I can throw away things no one will ever want, and organize the clothes I do want to keep!

Re: What simple things make you happy?

oooh, that must have been satisfying lilbit. I'm not one to forward emails in bulk, I've never understood people who do that. If I get an email that I think particular person will find interesting or funny, I will send that on.
