Huh??? Exactly how does that work? I've heard about the potato.

I googled it because I actually have a broken light bulb stuck in a socket as we speak!
How to remove a broken light bulb from socket with raw potato | eHow.com

I have also had success using two pairs of needle nose pliers to grab each side of the socket from the broken bulb to unscrew it while keeping both sides even. The down side to this method is if there is any glass left you have to break it off to get a good grip with the pliers.

I know how to use the potato. I am wondering how you use a new bulb to unscrew the broken, old one.

I guess that would qualify as a simple thing that makes me happy. Having 3 men in my life who can fix almost anything. Saves a lot on repairman bills.
I feel your pain. My husband puts off stuff at home because it's what he does at work all day. I used to say good thing he wasn't a GYN.

My simple pleasure is having someone believe in me. My brother was a toad tonight about me going back to college, but my husband has been the most helpful and supportive person all day today and has told me several times how proud he is of me.

"Boo" to your toady bro, and "yay" to your supportive hubby!

Danke. Ich bin aufgeregt um zu beginnen.

Simple pleasure today was going back to sleep for an hour because I couldn't think of a single thing I absolutely HAD to get up for.
