A very religious co-worker knows what a hard year I'm having and this morning brought in some blessed oil and made a cross with some on my forehead, neck, and heart. I've never heard of that before, but I was touched she felt moved to do that for me.

That was very kind of her Gut. I get a very peaceful feeling when people do stuff like that for me.

OK, this may actually sound awful, but my simple pleasure today was knowing that a huge mistake was NOT my fault, but the fault of someone who had it coming.
(I know, I can be spiteful at times. But Karma's a *itch, you know?

I've always said I can't wait to be an old lady because then I can get away with a LOT more because people are more tolerant and forgiving of the eldery. Especially the ones who are great characters.

Someone just apologized to me for cursing saying: "I've got to quit that, I curse like a sailor".

My reply was: "Well my dad WAS a sailor, so where do you think I learned to curse?". She thought that was hysterical. Not that cursing is a wonderful thing to do. But there are times when it is absolutely necessary.

My simple pleasure last night was just walking around downtown aimlessly with my husband and dogs and enjoying the nice breezy evening.

I walked around my street with my neighbor as she updated me on the Block Party that was held that I missed. We chatted while drinking coffees in mugs. It was so nice just to find the time for us to get together.
