Thank you!! It was indeed a good few days. Once I get help up, I'm able to stand on my own until I get tired, now I'm taking steps with help, I no longer have a feeding tube and the only thing left hooked up to me is a pick line (akin to an IV). Now all I have to do is build up my muscles and tolerance. Slowly but surely it's all coming together.

Who would have thought that hospital food could make a gal so happy?
I remember having to have a test that was supposed to be outpatient and having complications so being there overnight. I had been over 24 hours without eating. They were going to bring a tray for me and my husband. He was out looking for a soda machine when they brought the trays. I had never been so happy to see hospital food in my life and ended up eating both mine and his lasagna. (I figured he could stop on his way home for something better than hospital lasagna.) But it sure did taste GREAT to me! As I'm sure it does for you.
So now hopefully they will get the pic line out soon. Any timeline on when you may be able to go home???

Hopefully soon. Build up those muscles, that hospital food helps!

When altering clothing I sometimes need to tear out lots of overlocked seams or hems. My simple thing is getting hold of just the right thread to pull it all out with ease! That kind of unraveling is such a good thing.

Cootie, I totally know what you mean. It doesn't happen that often for me, but when it does it saves so much time and frustration! I'm usually pinching the seam with a ripper going stitch by stitch. Ugh!

My simple pleasure right now is my almost 12-year-old who has all those teenage problems, but somewhere along the way she's learned to clean. The other day she cleaned the kitchen for no reason (I'm still suspect) and it was amazing. She cleaned it just like I would've. The counters were all clean and wiped down, the clutter was put where it belonged (not just moved to another counter), the floor was swept and swiffered, and the burner pan things were scrubbed. I gave her extra allowance. It'll probably never happen again, but day-um, it was nice.
One of these days I'll stop being sensitive. Until then, I'll continue to be devastated on a daily basis. Life breaks my heart.

Maybe she's thinking wa-a-a-y ahead for when she wants to borrow the car?
