A quiet (as in the neighbor's brats aren't running around the complex yelling and screaming because god forbid anyone around here should teach their kids manners!) block of time in the middle of a Saturday or Sunday when I can take a nap.

Or simply a quiet time in the middle of the day!

I guess this isn't necessarily a simple pleasure, but rather a rare find that makes me very happy:

Finding a vintage brass chandelier, dripping with crystal prisms, on craigslist for $25 - and finding out it's not already sold!

Heeee...now it's mine.

The simple thing making me happy today is the post office's service to sell you stamps by leaving an envelope in your mailbox. I LOVE it. Earlier this week, I filled out their envelope, wrote the postmaster a check, and left it in my mail box. The next day, I come home, and the stamps are sitting in my mail box. I didn't have to work around the hours the post office is open, didn't have to try to get a machine to eat my wrinkled dollar bills, didn't have to stand in line, and didn't have to try to rememberto ask for stamps at the grocery store. I may have never laid eyes on my mailman, but he takes such good care of me!
