Senator Wellstone died in a plane crash

I just heard that Minnesota's Senator Paul Wellstone, who was running for re-election in a tight race, died in a plane crash today, along with his wife, one of his daughters, and everyone else on the small plane. I'm just blown away by it.

Yikes, that is sad. I knew that he had been in the plane crash but I had no idea his wife and daughter were also in it. Prayers go out to that family

We just found out too, LG. At first I thought it was a joke as the guy who told me said it with a way-to-straight of a face. But, yah, it is confirmed.

We are speculating that he still may win the election, in which case, gulp, JTB would get to make an appointment. Himself?

Really, if he won the election, Jesse would get to appoint someone - anyone? to the position? That could get extremely tricky. Especially when you're dealing with someone like Jesse Ventura, who does what he wants.
