How Expensive IS Gasoline?

All you guys... your fuel is piss cheap... Hong Kong is an arm and a leg... I can get pictues for those who don't believe me... Prices for all gases have been fixed within a similar range with all gasoline stations here (Mobil, Shell, Caltex, Esso) (LPG stations are cheaper, but are only for Taxis and mini-buses as LPG private cars don't sell here)

Diesel fuel costs HK$6 (US$0.77) PER LITRE, NOT GALLON, which is equivalent to a 500ml bottle of coke.

Normal unleaded fuel costs HK$10 ( US$1.28) PER LITRE, NOT GALLON which is equivalent to a dollar menu double cheese burger (HK$8) and a Mc Donald's ice cream cone (HK$2) ouch.

Super unleaded fuel cost HK$13 (maybe $11) (US$1.28) PER LITRE, NOT GALLON. Equivalent to a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. Or if the supermarket has it on special... 2 bottles of it. That's also equivalent to 1/4 of fcuk booze.

Premium unleaded fuel (not available at all gas stations)... costs HK$15 (US$1.92) PER LITRE, NOT GALLON. maybe US$2 is equivalent to a cup of coffee at starbucks

Yes... Ouch. My mum's 2001 Corolla takes in about HK$4XX of super unleaded fuel everytime she fills up... My 2000 Trueno takes in HK$350-600 per fill up. Our old 1986 Cressida (dumped when I got a Trueno)= HK$600-700 per fill up.
My Brother has a BMW 5 series... $800 per fill up.

Cousins? PER FILL UP Well they prefer European which is a stick up the butt.

In central IL its 1.58 for unleaded (really cheap!) but in the Chicago 'burbs its at least 20 cents more...

OK, WE HAVE GONE OVER $2.00 A GALLON FOR REGULAR 87 OCTANE IN RENO NEVADA plus we got 6" of snow today too. March 1st more snow and no gas.
