I did break my tailbone when I was about 15 years old. I was skiing and fell backwards, and popped my tailbone straight onto the back of my ski.

It reaaally hurt and I feel for you firegirl, I totally know what you're going through.

What's more is my tailbone never really healed 100% and I can still feel it if I sit wrong or sometimes if hubby gives me a back massage, he'll push on my tailbone & it still hurts.

Good luck with recovery firegirl, just bring a pillow wherever you go or sit on your knees hehe

Years ago, my supervisor fell down some stairs which lead from the parking lot to the employees entrance. Everyone else laughed at her because she fell and hurt her butt. I told her she should have her coccyx x-rayed for any cracks or swelling. She just looked at me and said, "eldee, very funny, but you know I'm a woman". Actually, that's when I laughed at her. She got some anti-inflammatory and recovered.

Firegirl, I hope you will be feeling better soon!

firegirl, I fortunately have never broken my butt, which is quite a feat since I fall down so often. I'm sorry this happened to you though. It is really funny, but I'm sure it really hurts. I hope you feel better!

    You really cracked your tailbone?

My wife broke her tailbone when she was younger, and it never healed right. It causes her problems still.

My sister fell down the stairs around Christmas a few years ago. She was carrying my daughter so she couldn't catch herself. She cracked her tailbone, too. Not a happy camper.

    Get better quickly, Firegirl.
