Did you ever read that Mark Twain story where he says, everyone talks about the weather and if that's what you're interested in, you can find it in a chapter at the end? And at the end, there's a whole chapter with descriptions of windy days, a rainy day, etc. I can't remember which story that was but it was funny because it was so deadpan serious. He was sick of adding descriptive weather reports to his fiction.
I knew I paraphrased something that I had heard but didn't know the origin. Thank you so much for this great info. I love Mark Twain (S. Clemens). He was quite a wit.

Too bad you had to leave S.B.!
