Oh my GOD! That's just crazy talk John! Wow! Like some guy is just going to walk up to the tiger and paint a red bullseye on him or something.

It was pretty scary. We were driving through a game preserve and we had stopped the car to look at some ostriches. We had a peanut butter sandwich on the dashboard and one of the ostriches kept pecking at the windshield. We were kind of laughing about it when the baboon came running up and grabbed the driver by her hair. She was screaming as the baboon ripped a full baboon hand's worth of her hair and scalp out. It was awful. She was just the sweetest older lady imaginable, I felt so bad for her.

Geez, how awful, Z! Did it freak you out? You were probably pretty young at that time, huh?

I hate baboons forever, starting now.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

Ouch! Scary stuff going on in South Africa.

But I bet it was pretty exciting each day, Zhora.

There were a few moments that freaked me out, (like the time I almost started a human stampede at the snake park because I thought one of the green mambas had gotten out), but mostly it was a really interesting and fun place for a silly little white girl to start school.
Iím haunted a little this evening by feelings that have no vocabulary and events that should be explained in dimensions of lint rather than words.
