    XM Radio...Anyone else have it?

I just bought a new "techie" thing -- XM Satellite Radio.

Its just like a regular radio, except you don't get the signal from an antenna. You get your signal from 22,000 miles above the earth.

You can travel coast-to-coast and never lose the signal. You can stay on the same channel no matter where you go.

It has more than 100 channels, so there's got to be something you like. Theres everything from music to news to sports to Spanish programming.

Anyone else have it? Or Sirrius? Or does everyone think I'm crazy? lol

    Brian,

I dont have XM or Sirrius....but I AM interested! lol. Your thread has me wondering....what kind of player did you get? is yours a car system? or is it one of those boom boxes? I wonder about the boom box....does it have to be outside in order to receive a signal? or would you be fine with that inside of a house?

    Hmmm...

Oh yeah...I dont think you are crazy!

I have the Delphi SKYFi. It is a little box that can be used at home, in a car, or in a boombox. I only have the home and car adapter kits. I have heard that the boombox is made for indoor use as well as outdoor, so I imagine it works good.

I got my system at CircuitCity because it was on sale for like 50 bucks less than normal. I'm not sure if it still is.

You may want to check out XMFAN.com where you will find a lot of helpful people for questions.

Also, I have taken mine downstairs in the basement with the home adapter kit, and the satellite recieves great signal even through the ground. So I imagine the boombox would work great.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I got everything for $220 installed at CIrcuit City. That was when there was a 50 dollar rebate and free installation.

Ok, I just got mine and had to dig this thread up. I got the Delphi Skyfi, the boom box, and 3 months of service for $154. I love it, this thing kicks ass.

JR... admit it, you'll be jammin' to the Frank Sinatra channel, won't you????

I used to get XM in all of my company cars since I was on the road constantly. Comedy Channel was a godsend. I learned a lot of new words.

I don't know about Frank, but I'm loving the Boneyard and Squizz. This is so cool.
