Brenna, your second one (w/ the blue-ish tint) is absolutely fantastic. Slightly distorted and watery feel to the image...reminds me of someone out of a dream or from the past.

BTW, I can sooo relate to that tortured look on her face.

    Hope you post more!

"All That I Could Never Have"
They say that once they cross those waters,
    hand in hand,
They turn into lovers in a different
    way, at last.
they learn to share another side of
the side they hold themselves in,
    their more sacred pasts

I can hear within the breeze
    a fainter, yet prettier melody
singing sweetly of someone out there
    destined for me
I can still feel his fingertips
the gentle bliss of his tender lips
and I still want exactly that...
all that I can never have.

    Younger than I'll ever admit
    still searching for it,
    another dream, another wish,
    a hopeless passion hidden within.
I knew one day I'd find
hope enough to just move on.
then again, how can I move on
without a rhythm to my new song?

    Oh, it's you, it's you.
I can still see the magic when you
    walked in the room.
Taking hours for my first hello,
I can still feel myself shine
    my heart crying
    and my soul dying

I can still taste the salt of my tears
dried on my lips from crying out to you.
I can feel the pain everytime I think
I almost had you, I almost held you.
Life was a breeze when I could look
into your eyes without seeing myself dying.
    But I still want it...

    I want every kiss
    from your sweet lips
    I want
every laugh and every joke, again.
    I still need
    your warm embrace
    I want it all...
All that I could never have.
everything that makes me so sad...
So sad... Why is it always so easy to write about sadness when I'm extremely happy?!? Well, this little disclaimer says it all, I think. If not... Please read back a page for a more detailed one.

Ok before I post this. Although this feels like a love poem, it really is not. Diana is the roman god of the hunt, sometimes attributed to the moon. (All you Dianas out there, relax, I'm not wooing you)

    the poem is about ambition.

    Dear sweet Diana (the moon)

    Dear sweet Diana (the moon)
I see your chariot across the heavens
and I wonder, are you lonely?

You are always out there, looking for me.
but I'm so smal down here.
You go looking high and low,
    looking everywhere every month
But I'm here waiting for you
Let me bask in your moonlight
and reach out to touch you

Someday, when you are not looking
I'll be there, searching for you.

I too have a few I can share.

I dont know what the hell i'm doing

I dont know what the hell i'm doing
    Telling you everything about me.
As if somewhere in the world of dreams
    our souls are already ajoined

This is crazy to me as well
Yet my heart compels me on
to write words from the heary
A sweet ode, sweet love of you

Fare thee well my darling muse
    Unto your sweet goodnight
And know these mere words of love
will be there in my stead.

    words are not enough

    Words are not enough,
    For matters of the heart
    All the vagaries and prose
    can't replace even a touch
    of a single loving gesture

Yet words are all I have
when we are so far away
    of course distance is measured
    in more than just miles

    So take these mere words
    however stilted and queer
and take them to your lips
    As if you were here.

    Darling your sweet voice

    Darling your sweet voice
    gentle and kind,
    your word emerge
like a songbrd in my ear

    speak sweet songbird
and tell me of your love.
    my world is not complete
til i've tasted your sweet song

    sing sweet bird
let me hear it from your lips
    let it play the harmony
that the song thats in my heart

    Alas sweet lips
    so gentle yet so fine
    those gentle loving globes
that i yearn to caress with mine.

The raw experiences of my daily commute.

The scent of cherry trees, a fruity sweetness, which mirrors the sounds of rain falling to the ground, stragglers from the previous nights rain.
The glass smooth surface of the water, as the sound retreats from the beach, not a sound from the surf, and in its silence, a pregnant expectation of the day to come.
Country roads, narrow and twisty, leading me onward beckoning me forward.
See that fork in the road, well, take it. either way, it gets you to where you need to be.
Gazing over the water, through the fog of morning, preparing for the day, preparing for battle.

    Lets fly

    Lets fly, you and I
To a place beyond our dreams
    where our love may bloom

    Let us intertwine ourselves
    in our cherished pleasure
    joined heart to heart

Let us finish each others words
say what is on our minds
with that quiet smile betwern lovers

    And finally as one
    we join our souls
    And face this hash world
